Why Work for Us?

Our people make the difference

It is our employees who bring their talent, resourcefulness and commitment to work every day that make Raymond Brown a great place to work and a great company for our customers to work with.

We offer exciting opportunities to graduates and trainees that are keen to develop their careers with a privately-owned, regional contractor.

As an Investor in People we have comprehensive training programmes to aid the career ambitions of our employees and ensure we have all the qualifications, skills and vision needed to continue our success.

We recruit graduates from a variety of construction related disciplines including Civil Engineering, Construction Management and Quantity Surveying. Our programmes include post-graduate development through the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

For school leavers and career changers, we offer a number of trainee and apprenticeship opportunities. Career options include construction management, civil engineering, quantity surveying, finance and accounts, marketing or our trade apprenticeships. We sponsor trade apprentices to attend college on a day or block release basis whilst gaining valuable on-site experience with us required for a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ).

Skilled Operatives

Operatives play a crucial role in the success of Raymond Brown Construction. As an absolute minimum, all our operatives receive skills training of NVQ Level 2, registration to the CSCS or CPCS Construction Skills Certification Scheme, and on/off site safety training.
